Our field research station is located in Tai O village, on the south-western shore of Lantau Island, facing the eastern reaches of Pearl River Delta.  The station provides working space for 7 researchers, with desk space, computer facilities and diverse field research equipment.

 

Although it may feel somewhat tight at times, the station can sleep up to 8 students and visiting researchers.  It is a simple but functional place, with well-equipped kitchenette, laundry facilities, bathroom and toilet.  Well positioned on the doorsteps to our study area, the station facilitates our boat-based as well as land-based surveys and is essential to make the most of any good-weather-day opportunity.
